The 50th Folklorama anniversary has become an instant success! Many new pavilions had expected tremendous accolades for the performances which tell the stories of the heritage and culture. And the “Pearl of the Orient Pavilion,” presented by the Magdaragat Philippines Inc, has maintained the “Magic of the Stage!” Their selected performances, especially the “Tinikling” and the “Singkil” have become the most applauded dance numbers, exhibiting the artistry and colours of the Filipino tradition, focusing on the various cultural richness embedded into the historical consciousness of the Filipinos.
Added to this is the Cordillera suit which tells the story of one of the most famous indigenous people in the mountain region; and the rural scenes which give the audience the liveliness, the carefree and fun-loving Filipinos.
Composed of hundreds of performers and volunteers, the “Pearl of the Orient Pavilion” has become one of the favorites by the local and out of town tourists. And they come as guests and they leave as friends.
