Registration is now open for Filipino Bilingual classes for Kindergarten
and Grade 1 at Meadows West School with classes scheduled to start this coming September. The Manitoba Association of Filipino Teachers Inc. (MAFTI) hosted an open house to promote the benefits of bilingual programming. Rob Riel, Interim Superintendent, Winnipeg School Division shared insights from successful Aboriginal and Spanish Bilingual program offerings.

MAFTI Open House – Filipino Bilingual Program at Meadows West

Genalyn Tan and members of the Manitoba Association of Filipino Teachers Inc (MAFTI) hosted an open house at Meadows West School to promote and register students for a Filipino Bilingual program for Kindergarten and Grade 1 starting September 2023.

The open house included remarks from Wayne Wyke, Principal at Meadows West and Rob Riel, Acting Superintendent of Winnipeg School Division.

Registration is now open for students and the message to parents from the open house is, Maximize your child’s potential by exposing them to multiple languages at an early age.
