Gerald Anderson’s Team Triumphs Over Vice Ganda’s at Star Magic All-Star Games 2024

MANILA, Philippines — The 2024 Star Magic All-Star Games captivated audiences at Araneta Coliseum and online on June 2. Gerald Anderson’s Shooting Stars Red basketball team, where he serves as player-coach, ended the winning streak of Vice Ganda’s “It’s Showtime” team.

“Grabe ang dedication, and it paid off. We’re happy,” said Anderson, emphasizing the team’s hard work and motivation.

Ion Perez, Lance Carr, Argel Saycon, Derrick Hubalde, and Young JV were named to the game’s Mythical 5, with Young JV earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title.

In another basketball game, the Shooting Stars Blue team, led by Donny Pangilinan and Ronnie Alonte, defeated the guest team, Cong’s Anbilibabol Basketball Team. Pangilinan and Alonte, along with River Joseph, Nelson Mendoza, and Cris Lagudas, were in the Mythical 5, with Alonte winning MVP.

The volleyball match saw Loisa Andalio’s Lady Spikers defend their title against the Lady Setters. Analain Salvador was named MVP for the fourth consecutive time, joining BINI’s Mikha Lim, Vivoree, Awra Briguela, Reign Parani, and Janah Zaplan in the Mythical Six.

Performances by BINI and new P-Pop boy group Wrive added to the event’s excitement. Other celebrities in attendance included Belle Mariano, Barbie Imperial, Francine Diaz, and Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi.
