Winnipeg, MB – Aileen Naismith, FCPA, FCA, a highly respected financial executive, has been awarded the prestigious CPA Fellowship Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the accounting profession and her unwavering commitment to community service.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Aileen has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in financial management. Her journey began at Deloitte LLP, where she developed her skills in audit, risk management, and strategy. Currently, Aileen serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Audit Executive at IGM Financial Inc., where she leads a high-performing team providing assurance and advisory services to subsidiaries such as IG Wealth Management and Mackenzie Investments.
Aileen’s previous role at Air Canada saw her leading the Corporate Audit and Advisory group, where she implemented significant initiatives to enhance internal audit functions and enterprise risk management. As an advocate for the CPA profession, Aileen spearheads the IG Wealth Management CPA program, supporting professionals in their CPA journey. She also champions the IGM Indigenous CPA Program Stream pilot, promoting reconciliation and the development of Indigenous talent.
In addition to her professional achievements, Aileen has made substantial contributions to her community through volunteer work. She has served on boards and committees for organizations such as Harvest Manitoba, Legal Aid Manitoba, and Safety Services Manitoba. Her dedication to diversity and the arts is evident through her involvement with cultural events like Folklorama and the Manitoba Filipino Street Festival.
