Winter Wonderland – Urban Edition

Due current COVID19 pandemic restrictions, the annual Winter Wonderland drive-thru Christmas light show has been temporarily closed until further notice.

As this light show is on hold, there are still many options to see Christmas lights and decorations throughout the city in the comfort of your vehicles.

Linden Lights has been a popular destination for Christmas lights enthusiast as several streets and their homeowners collaborate to bring lights to their individual streets.

There’s an opportunity to vote for your favourite “Best House” and “Best Street” for Linden Lights. In the heart of Lindenwoods in South Winnipeg, there’s Candy Cane Lane on Foxmeadow Drive, Polar Bear Lane on Hennessy Drive, several impressive lights and decorations on Shorecrest Drive and even more Toy Soldier lights on Parkroyal Bay.

In Transcona at 503 Kildare Ave West, is Peter Kwiatek’s impressive light display.

Peter’s lights are in memory of his wife who passed away in 2014 due to cancer and uses the light display to raise donations for Winnipeg Harvest.

Featured back in 2018, the Francisco family at 157 Garton Ave in the Maples has been an annual labour of love. The front lawn features many lights and inflatable decorations and continues to be a bright light in our community.

Global News Winnipeg complies an interactive map of all the Winnipeg Christmas light displays throughout the city. You can find the map on globalnews.ca.
