Newlyweds Shalani Soledad and Rep. Roman Romulo were gifted by President Noynoy Aquino with eight wine glasses.
The number eight is believed to be a lucky number as well as a romantic one.
Although he was invited, Aquino was a no-show at his ex-girlfriend’s wedding which was held last Jan. 22 at the St. Benedict Church in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. He nevertheless wished Shalani and Roman well in their journey together as husband and wife.
When queried on the chief executive’s whereabouts, Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said he was clueless on his boss’ weekend schedule. The president is believed to have gone to Baguio City that day.
PNoy has a high-profile breakup with the pretty Valenzuela councilor in late 2010 after his election to office.
He is currently dating Korean TV and radio personality Grace Lee.
