RBC Foundation today announced it is donating $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support emergency relief efforts for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. RBC has requested that its donation be directed where it is needed most for emergency relief which can include food, clean water, shelter and medical aid.

Anyone who wants to contribute to the Canadian Red Cross can do so by visiting any RBC branch in Canada.

“The impact of this disaster is enormous and has been devastating to thousands of people and their communities,” said Gord Nixon, president and CEO, RBC. “On behalf of our clients and employees, we are providing assistance to help with the relief efforts and making our branches available to help raise funds from the public.”
