They would donate the money via Canadian Red Cross for the victims of the supertyphoon Haiyan that hit various places in the Philippines. The fundraising activity was spearheaded by the teachers Renee Sanguin and Camille Roth and their students Ariana Doucette-Taylor, Jaymel Yabut, Jordan Yabut, Autumn Batangan, Aleca Revidad, Shanelle Sorro, Gabby Corbillon, and Mia Laqui Ortiz. Because of this fundraising event, the teachers were able to raise not only money but more so awareness and a sense of compassion among their young students.
