First Annual ‘Ice It To Work Day’

Park your cars at home and take to the Assiniboine Credit Union River Trail (ACURT) for your Friday commute to work. Skate, ski, snowshoe, bike, run or walk to work for the first annual “Ice It To Work Day”, Friday, February 17.

“We are excited to see so many people take to the trail each weekend, and participate in the great programming offered, but there are many other ways to enjoy the trail on a daily basis” said Paul Jordan, Chief Operating Officer, The Forks. “It’s a fantastic way to get in to work while taking in the sights along the river.”

ACURT runs 3.5km along the Red River from Churchill Drive to The Forks and commuters can access the trail at 4 different access points, Churchill Drive, Balsam Bay, Norwood Bridge and The Forks.

FREE hot chocolate will be available to the first 100 commuters to stop by any of the four hosted Pit Stops at the official access points plus special surprises, prizes and gifts.
