Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III agreed with Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon that the government should have prioritized more important projects like the building of more classrooms instead of using the funds for a P50-million cauldron that will be used for the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Aquino reminded the government of proper appropriation saying that the priority is not the Sea Games which will only last for more than a week. He added that the current administration should instead prioritize education for the youth. Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon earlier questioned the construction of the structure, saying it was an unnecessary extravagance.
