Two kababayans ended 2019 with a bang after winning two of the grand prizes at Lucky Supermarket Anniversary Raffle promo.
Maria Luisa Lasquete brought home a brand new Toyota Corolla car while Kim Pagunsan won the all-expense-paid trip for 2 to any destination of their choice.
Maria said she asked her husband to watch the live draw as she was working that day. “ When my husband phoned and said that I won, I did not believe. It was only when my daughter sent me a text message that it has finally sunk in.”
Maria moved to Winnipeg with her family in 2011. She is currently driving the car and plans to turn it over to her daughter when she gets her license.
Kim Pagunsan, on the other hand, thought that the call from Lucky was a scam.”When they called me, I thought it was a scam until they asked me to go to the office to present me the prize.”
Kim said that it was her mom who shopped and she just filled out the raffle entries for her. They are set to enjoy their one-week getaway in the Dominican Republic in May which happens to be her and her mom’s birthday month.
Lucky Supermarket Anniversary Raffle Promo ran in all their seven stores across Canada. For every grand prize, an entry from each location was drawn, which later on entered in the nationwide grand draw. Winnipeg had the 2 lucky winners. Other prizes given away were groceries for a year and one hundred $100 gift cards in all seven locations.
Lucky Supermarket is thankful to all their patrons who joined their anniversary promo.
