“Trese” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” set to stream on Netflix this June


People can look forward to two popular shows set to be released on Netflix next month.

In its announcement via a video teaser of its line-up, Netflix Philippines revealed that the anime adaptation of the Filipino graphic novel, “Trese” will premiere on June 11 while the live action movie of “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final” will be released on June 18.

“Trese” is a Netflix original series based on the graphic novel of the same title written by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldissimo. Voicing its lead character, Alexandra Trese, are Liza Soberano for the Filipino version and Shay Mitchell for the English version.

Meanwhile, “Rurouni Kenshin” is one of the two films to conclude the live-action saga with Takeru Satoh reprising his role as Kenshin Samura, the assassin who became a repentant wanderer and has made it his personal mission to be the protector of the people of Japan.
