Halo Halo Summit 2021

In celebration of Philippines Independence Day on June 12, 2021, we are pleased to host our first-ever Halo Halo Summit – a safe virtual space for our community to come together and do a deep dive into what it means to be Filipino/a/x here in Winnipeg.

Meet kababayans in your city and find others who share your story, successes, and struggles. Through this event, we hope to help you find community, inspiration, and a stronger sense of self through intentional community-building.

This Summit is hosted in collaboration with Kultivation Festival, PAO!, Manitoba Filipino Business Council, and ANAK Inc.

The one-day virtual Halo Halo Summit includes four activities:
10:30 AM – Filipino/a/x Model Minority Mutiny Workshop (Note: Due to the workshop model there is a limit of 25 participants)
12:00 PM – F.A.M.D. Entertainment / Lunch Break
1:00 PM – Youth Career Mentorship Panel + Forum (event is open to both youth and professionals/mentors)
2:30 PM – Filipino/a/x Professionals Happy Hour

As an attendee, you can attend all of the events or hand-pick which events best meet your needs. All activities are free with the exception of the morning workshop, which we ask for any size donation to ANAK Inc.
