Tiffany Ponce: Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Urban Television Awards

The 1st annual Canadian Urban Television (CUT) Hip Hop Awards and CUT CONNEX Trade Show and Conference took place in Winnipeg over the weekend of October 16th to 18th, 2015 at Canad Inns Windsor Park. The exciting, jam-packed weekend brought together urban music artists from all over Canada. Winnipeg R&B artist Tiffany Ponce was nominated in four categories and won the award for Songwriter of the Year. Other local winners included Dangerous Goods for Break Dancing Crew of the Year, Rup Monsta for Album Producer of the Year, and Benjamin Tamana for R&B Single of the Year. Aside from the red carpet award show there were also workshops with industry professionals and artist performances throughout the weekend. Artists were able to network and grow, and audience members were given the chance take in amazing talent from across the country. Next year’s CUT awards and conference will take place in Edmonton, Alberta.
