There are a lot of reasons why reading is important. In the last issue of the Filipino Journal, students from Meadows West School submitted several stories about “I Love To Read Month”. During the assembly, Ron cantiveros, Publisher of the Filipino Journal brought copies for the students to take home.
DJ DLo from Energy 106 FM turned “I Love To Read Month” into an all out dance party during Meadows West School kick-off assembly. Prizes were given to students with the best dance moves. Prior to DJ DLo’s reading of “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, he emphasized the importance of reading and that it’s a life-long skill.
