After the relatively well-attended concerts OPM Legends, starring Filipino Pop artist Rico J. Puno and company, and of the Philippine Alternative Rock band Parokya ni Edgar last February, two of our Winnipeg local producers are treating the community twice again with yet another couple of homegrown Filipino entertainment.
Klownz Comedy Bar / May 22 / Club Regent Event Centre
On May 22 (Friday), Dennis Castañeda with his production team (DMC Production) is taking the Klownz Comedy Bar to Club Regent Event Centre. Imported from the Philippines, the comedy show features the Filipino comedians Allan K, Ate Gay, and Boobay. It will be opened by Winnipeg local artists the duo D’Zire and Edmund Novio. Greatest Love Songs / July 5 / Club Regent Event Centre
On July 5 (Sunday), Todd Labelle Promotions is producing Greatest Love Songs, featuring two of the Philippine entertainment’s young celebrities, Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto, both of whom will treat their audience to a night of singing.
