St. Paul’s College Rector Joins Canadian Educational Delegation on Mission to the Philippines

Winnipeg, Manitoba: On November 4, 2023, Christopher Adams, Rector of St. Paul’s College at the University of Manitoba, will embark on a journey to the Philippines as part of the Universities Canada Mission, which will occur in Manila from November 6-8, 2023. The objective of this mission is to foster collaboration and strengthen ties between educational institutions in Canada and the Philippines.

Distinguished by the presence of prominent leaders, the gathering will bring together university and college presidents from Canada and the Philippines, high-ranking government officials, including David Hartman, the Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines, and senior directors of Universities Canada.

Rector Christopher Adams emphasized the significance of this mission, stating, “The Filipino community holds a significant place within St. Paul’s College, and it is vital that we continue to nurture connections, both locally and globally, with this important demographic. I eagerly anticipate my meetings in Manila and the opportunity to forge new partnerships.”

In preparation for this important event, Dr. Adams and his fellow university presidents met in Ottawa on October 25 with the Philippines Ambassador to Canada, Ms. Maria Andrelita S. Austria. The Ambassador expressed her deep appreciation for this upcoming mission and the active involvement of numerous distinguished Canadian educational leaders.
