VP aspirant, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo promised that she will apply the same amount of hard work and commitment to her job if ever she gets elected as VP, whoever wins the presidential seat.
Robredo said, if elected as VP, she she would perform her duties as best as she could, be it her running mate Mar Roxas, Jejomar Binay, Grace Poe and other presidential candidates.
Contrary to common perception that a VP conforms to the policies of the President, Robredo pointed out that she and Roxas have different views on policies.
“Yung plataporma po ni Secretary Mar ay pinepresenta namin as a tandem kaya dapat nagkakaintindihan kami sa mga major points. Parehas naman ang aming paniniwala, iba lang lens ang ginagamit namin,” she said.
Roxas is focusing on making national policies, while Robredo is focusing on addressing local issues.
Robredo used to be a pro-bono lawyer working with poor communities before she became a legislator.
