Rainbow Stage presents Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical that will enchant children and adults alike with its warmth, charm, surprising twists and a touch of magic.
From the producers who brought you 2018’s Beauty and the Beast comes another memory-making summer event for the whole family. In the heart of Winnipeg’s enchanting Kildonan Park, Rainbow Stage’s iconic dome will transform into your own personal carriage to take you on a journey you won’t soon forget. With a healthy dose of hilarity, this 2013 Tony Award winner combines the timeless songs you know and love with a fresh new take on the beloved fairly tale.
Director, Rob Herriot (Beauty and the Beast) and music director, Paul De Gurse (Beauty and the Beast) will be joined by Stratford Festival cornerstone Alexandra Herzog who returns home to make her debut as choreographer for Rainbow Stage.
Narda McCarroll makes her set design debut with Rainbow Stage amidst her busy career designing across the country (Stratford Festival, Catalyst Theatre). Returning to share their design brilliance: Scott Henderson (Lighting, Rainbow Stage Wall of Fame), Emily Porter (Sound) and Kansas City Costume Company (Beauty and the Beast) has been hard at work building another breathtaking and eye-popping costume design for us!
Another 100% Manitoban Cast
Colleen Furlan (The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables) returns to Rainbow Stage in the title role of Cinderella. Also returning to Rainbow Stage: Darren Martens as Prince Topher, Paula Potosky as Fairy Godmother, Laura Olafson and Andrea del Campo as Cinderella’s conflicted step sisters and Melanie Whyte as the scrumptously deceptive Step Mother.
The cast also features the comedic talents of Rainbow Stage alum Aaron Hutton, Kevin Klassen and Nelson Bettencourt.
The ensemble features Tyler Everley, Timothy Gledhill, Brenda Gorlick, Donnalynn Grills, Brittany Hunter, Kelsey Lacombe, Lia Loewen, Brett Owen, Joseph Sevillo, Jillian Willems, Tyrell Witherspoon and Catherine Wreford.
Rainbow Stage performance debuts include: Djouliet Amara, Matthew Armet, Alyssa Crockett and Jeff Rivet.
