The Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba, Inc. held their annual picnic event last June 29 at the Assiniboine Park. It was a rainy morning but organizers and attendees came with zest to celebrate, making it another memorable picnic that has also been a tradition to many. A mass officiated by Father Gerry Sambrano was offered before the event proper. Performances, games, zumba and raffle draw followed. The event was hosted by Donna Arenas of GMP-Radio 810 CKJS and Joyce Catenza of RBC.
