Gilas Pilipinas played with heart at FIBA World Cup
Ranked 34th in the world in FIBA World Cup rankings, the basketball world watched first hand at the heart of Filipinos for their love of basketball. Filipino fans from around the world including those that made the trip to Seville, Spain watched as the Gilas Pilipinas team surprised the world with their on-court heroics in battling the world’s best basketball teams. Four tough games against Greece, Croatia, Argentina and Puerto Rico all ended in hard fought loses fro the Gilas Pilipinas. Their 4th game against Puerto Rico eliminated the team from playoff contention.
