All nine mayoral candidates were invited to the MFBC Mayoral Forum at Sisler High School last Tuesday, August 26th. Coun. Paula Havixbeck, Robert-Falcon Ouellette, Brian Bowman, Michel Fillion, David Sanders, Gord Steeves, Michael Vogiatzakis, Hazem Aslan and Judy Wasylycia-Leis participated in the election’s second all-candidates forum.
The forum presented MFBC with an opportunity to discover how Winnipeg’s next mayor will influence change in our cultural and business communities.
Members and non-members from all areas of the city came to hear the candidates discuss their perspectives and platforms. The candidates discussed a wide range of positions on questions involving Winnipeg’s ethnic communities, tendering processes, plans for the city’s youth and senior populations, and much more.
The MFBC looks forward to participating in the municipal polling on Oct. 22.
