Lawsuit against Pacquiao for failing to disclose shoulder injury

Two plaintiffs, identified as Staphane Vanel and Kami Rahbaran filed a lawsuit in federal court in Las Vegas against Manny Pacquiao and his handlers for failing to disclose his shoulder injury. The suit seeks class action status and seeks damages for anyone who paid to watch his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., including those who bought tickets, pay-per-view or bet on the fight.

As this develops the Nevada boxing regulators are looking into possible disciplinary action against Pacquiao for failing to disclose the injury suffered four weeks before the fight. For their part, Pacquiao’s handlers said they sought to get a pain-killing shot in the shoulder in the dressing room before the fight but was unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Mayweather said in a text to ESPN that he is willing to fight Pacquiao in a rematch a year after his surgery.
