Laine makes hockey history with 5-goal game performance

It took seven years before another five goal game in the NHL history took place last November 24 when Winnipeg Jets’ Patrick Laine scores 5 out of the team’s 8-goal win against St. Louis Blues.

The last player to score five goals in a game was Johan Franzen of the Detroit Red Wings on Feb. 2, 2011.

Laine’s five goal surge is yet another milestone in his hockey career, now being on the list of the players with the rare 5 or more goals in a single game.
