Jon Reyes, President of the Manitoba Filipino Business Council, and Board Director for the Manitoba Branch of The Kidney Foundation organized this inaugural meeting of interested parties to develop a Kidney Health Program for Winnipeg’s Filipino community. “From The Kidney Foundation I have learned how significantly the Filipino population is impacted by chronic kidney disease, and in our community, I have talked to many, many people who have family members and friends affected; I thought we needed to do something!”
