The NHL Power Rankings are out and the Jets are ranked 8th and are tied for 3rd in the Central Division.
The Jets have won 4 out of 7 games in early December and are surprising everyone based on early-season predictions after losing key players including Dustin Byfuglien. They’re winning and in a playoff spot.
They split two home-and-home series with the Dallas Stars (5-1, 2-3) in the first week and the Detroit Red Wings (5-1, 2-5) the following week. The two other winds were against the Anaheim Ducks (3-2) and Philadephia Flyers (7-3) at Bell MTS Place.
Recent injuries to the Jets include Mathieu Perrault (concussion protocol) and Andrew Copp (upper body). As a result, Mason Appleton and Jansen Harkins are getting the call up from the Manitoba Moose.
