The Filipino Members Chapter of the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba held its annual Christmas Party last November 30, 2019 at the Canad Inns Destination Centre-Fort Garry on Pembina Highway. At least 100 individuals attended the event.
During the event, new Engineering Interns (EITs) and Professional Engineers (PEng) of the chapter were recognized. “We are so fortunate to have these chapter members become EITs and PEngs to add to our growing roster” remarked Jun Tapia, Executive Committee Chair.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of scholarship awards totalling $9,000.00 to eight (8) deserving recipients from a pool of applicants chosen by the scholarship committee spearheaded by Mr. Roy San Buenaventura, PEng. Joseph Magtoto, Dean Kenneth R. Bundalian, Jocelyn Salvador-Domingo, Gympson Agravante received the Mar Mance Memorial Scholarship awards while Melissa Pasahol, Rhyz Joshua Abella, Andrei Joshua Loredo and Reynaldo V. Robillos Jr. received the Filipino Members Chapter-Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba awards.
The event was in partnership with National Bank and with Tower Engineering, Lakeside Process Controls Ltd., Jocri Windows, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba and Noemi’s Cuisine as sponsors.
