Meet Cristiano Michael, the only Canadian-Filipino currently in the roster of Hastings College Men’s Soccer team.
Cristiano is presently studying at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. He was the recipient of both academic and athletic scholarship. The Hastings College Men’s Soccer team just completed their soccer season. The team finished the regular season as 2019 GPAC Conference Champion, and made it to the national competition in California. The team ended their season as National Runner Up, making them the second best team and the number one defensive team in the nation.
As an academic scholar studying Computer Science, Cristiano holds a 97% overall GPA
Cristiano grew up in Winnipeg where he learned the sport. He continues to play for Manitoba Major League Soccer in the men’s Premier division for outdoor season before returning to the USA for school. He graduated from St. Boniface Diocesan High School.
Truly this talented young guy admirably proves that one can excel both in the field of academics and sports.
