Members of local media and sports personalities stepped out of the press box and onto the field to compete in Doug Brown’s 3rd annual Media Football Combine Challenge. Filipino Journal sports writer, Ryan Reyes represented the Filipino Journal at this year’s combine. He squared off against other media personalities and Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni in combine drills including the 40 yard dash, sled push, long snapping, kicking and passing drills.
Over 100 kids were able to participate in the camp thanks to KidSport and along with Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni, the kids took to the field and worked on a number of position specific fundamental drills and exercises. The camp is open to kids who have received funding from KidSport in order to play football.
