Dear friends, as we are entering the Christmas Season, I want us to reflect upon the beautiful message that lies beneath the story of the birth of Jesus Christ that this holiday celebrates.
Christmas is a time for hope, it is a time for peace and it is a time for sharing.
The hope comes from the birth of a saviour who brought light to a world in darkness. Hope is often what gets us through the difficult times, something that we all experience from time to time. We must keep our hope for better times for ourselves and for others.
Peace is the true message that the shepherds in the fields outside Bethlehem were delivered. We should search for peace. Not only the peace for those who are living in troubled regions, but also inner peace in our hearts and in our souls.
And when we gather in our homes during this special time, we share. We share through gifts, we share food and we share memories of those who are no longer with us and of those who cannot be home for Christmas.
So dear friends, from my family to yours, have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Maligayang pasko at manigong bagong taon sa inyong lahat.
Sincerely,
The Honourable Tobias C. Enverga Jr.
