International musical theater performer Rachelle Anne Go was recently named Best Actress in a New Production or a Musical.
The Filipina thespian earned the honor for her role as Eliza Schuyler in the West End production of Lin Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton.” The award was given by BroadwayWorld, the leading theater site in UK. The site released their annual Broadway UK Awards Wednesday, Nov. 28. Also receiving recognition were two of Go’s co-stars namely, Gil Terera as Best Actor, and Jason Pennycooke as Best Supporting Actor. The critically-acclaimed Broadway musical, “Hamilton,” was awarded the Best New Production of a Musical award.
