Lirim Hajrullahu named special teams player of week
The Blue Bombers knocked off the BC Lions last week with a huge 23-6 win on the road at BC Place.
5-for-5 for Harjullahu! After nailing five field goals, including one from 51 yards out, punting five times with a 43-yard average, and booming kickoffs all night, rookie kicker Lirim Hajrullahu has been named the CFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
Hajrullahu, the Blue Bomber placekicker, is also holding down the punting duties in the absence of injured punter Mike Renaud.
This is the second time this season the Bombers have had a player win this award, with Demond Washington earning the recognition week two against Ottawa.
The Bombers face the Hamilton Tiger Cat this week in Hamilton and back at Investors Group Field to battle the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
