A Jewel of the Prairies – Riding Mountain National Park

Free for new Canadians to discover!

To the new Filipino-Canadians that joined the Explore Neepawa Lily Festival Tour by the Filipino Journal, we were reminded about the Cultural Access Pass during our brief visit to Riding Mountain National Park this weekend.

As many on the tour will soon become new Canadians, everyone was excited to learn of the great gifts this country has to offer. New Canadian citizens are eligible to register for a FREE Cultural Access Pass which grants free admission to all Canadian National Parks and Historic Site. It’s a great “Welcome To Canada” gift and an opportunity to explore this great country.

If you plan to visit Riding Mountain National Park in August, make sure to come up for Wasagaming Chamber Days from August 8-10. Fun family activities, entertainment, a parade, sandcastle building contests and much more at Manitoba’s best family resort!

Institute for Canadian Citizenship’s Cultural Access Pass

Parks Canada is the first national partner in the Institute for Canadian Citizenship’s Cultural Access Pass program. By participating in the program, Parks Canada will provide new Canadian citizens the opportunity to have free access to what is now their national parks, national historic sites and national marine conservation areas for one full year starting the day they receive their citizenship. More than 32,000 new citizens have participated in the CAP program since it began in 2008.
