Thanks for the great photos! The “Beautiful Philippines” 2014 Best of the Festival Photo Contest received 27 photos from 13 local photographers of varying skills, cameras and backgrounds. The images they captured despite the wet and soggy conditions were truly impressive. It was up to the judges to select the best image that capture the theme of the 2014 Manitoba Filipino Street Festival.
Judges for the “Beautiful Philippines” 2014 Best of the Festival Photo Contest include Tiffany Ponce, Winnipeg artist; David Lipnowski, freelance photographer; Jemy delas Alas, TD Bank; Ian McCausland, commercial photographer, James Carey Lauder, sports photograher and teacher in the Tec Voc Photography program and Terry MacLeod, morning host on CBC Radio.
