Armed with Ph400,000 pesos, the officers of the Association of Ilocanos in Manitoba (AIM) will be leaving for the Philippines for their 5th mission this coming February.
Led by the president, Romy Uminga, the other officers include his wife, Che Uminga; Mario Rosario, the immediate past president; and his wife, Myra, 1st vice-president of the association; and Danny Amoyo. 2nd vice-president; and Remy Amoyo, treasurer. The group will do the mission in Vigan Ilocos Norte; Cebu, Nueva Ecija and Batangas.
“We have been doing the mission for more than four years, helping our less fortunate kababayans by giving them rice, canned goods, grocery items and other necessities in life,”Mario Rosario said.” And for this year’s mission is in partnership with Larry Vickar, CEO and president of Vickar Autogroup, Bill Balaco, owner of Tache’ Pharmacy. Rey Operana of Original Dancing Couples and Dennis Lagman.”
The current officers include Romy Uminga, president; Myra Rosario, 1st vice-president; Danny Amoyo,2nd vice-president; Remy Amoyo, treasurer; Josie Narciso, secretary; Mario Rosario, immediate past president, adviser.
