Freddie Roach is aware that Chris Algieri’s height and range could pose a problem for Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao in their Nov. 23 face off vResort in Macau.
Roach also noted how the WBO light welterweight champion loves to move around instead of engaging his opponent. He added that Pacquiao doesn’t particularly like fighting guys who run so much.
Nonetheless, the multi-titled trainer is confident they can figure out a way to beat the undefeated 5-foot-10 New Yorker. Algieri isn’t really known to go for knockouts. In 20 fights, the American has only stopped eight opponents.
Algieri’s promoter Joe DeGuardia declared that his boxer will use the jab and maintain distance to beat Pacquiao.
