AIM celebrates Christmas by donating proceeds to charity

Some officers and members of Association of Ilocano of Manitoba (AIM) will be leaving for Manila in the early new year of 2020 to donate the proceeds of their Christmas Party celebration last November 23rd at the Marlborough Hotel.

“We are planning to leave for the Philippines to bring cheers to our less fortunate kababayans in the Philippines, as we had done it before . And whatever the proceeds of this Christmas celebrations, we want to share with them the blessings,” said Mario Rosario, newly re-elected president of the association.

Other donations by AIM include ANCOP or Answering the Cry of the Poor, Children Foundation and St. Peter’s fundraising campaign and the Philippine donations.

The 2019 AIM Christmas celebration was well-attended with more than 400 guests who had enjoyed the food, the music, and the door prizes.

MP Winnipeg North Kevin Lamoureux inducted the new sets of officers during the party.

The inducted officers include: Mario Rosario, president; Faustino Nery, 1st vice president; Arnel Sernadilla, 2nd vice president; Macre Joven, secretary; Josie Narciso, asst. secretary; Pepe Pilor, treasurer; Marlon Disa, asst. treasurer; ABS Disa, auditor; Marilou Sernadilla, asst. auditor; Kim Joven, registrar; Blanca Linares, asst. registrar.

Public Relations officers are Myra Rosario, Juanito and Amor Gambalan, Melinda and Menor Habon, Ver & Jocelyn Ablang, Vicky Joven and Maria Cleofas; Sargent at Arms include Benjie Habon, Amado Habon, Neil Salazar, Johnny Lee, Jimmy Jaramilla, Pete Joven, Manny Nery, Lawrence Ducusin, Elmer Nery, Zaldy Joven, Reynaldo Racca, Danny Co and Bernardino Volante; advisers: Manny Joven, Rey Operana and Dennis L; AIM Designer’ Loida Gatdula.
