Filipino singer Aicelle Santos won the silver award for her performance of Jungee Marcelo’s “Kapangyarihan ng Pag-ibig” in the recent ASEAN+3 Song Contest held in Quang Ninh, Vietnam.
The first prize went to Malaysian singer Rosario Nihin Chamini Bianis, while Santos shared the second place with Tran Thi Hong Nhung of Vietnam. Myanmar’s Eint Chit got the third prize. The other Filipinos who represented the country were Steven Bedolido and Tim Pavino. The ASEAN+3 pop singing contest featured 22 professional singers aged 18-35 years old from the 10 ASEAN member states including as China, Japan and Korea.
