The very first Heritage Fashion Gala was held last June 21 at the Pauline-Boutal Hall, Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain. Organized by Dante Aviso, the event was for the benefit of Philippine Canadian Arts Society of Manitoba and in celebration of June as Filipino Heritage Month. It showcased creations by Karl Harris, Iris Lauzon, Ken Lozano, LA Collection, Victoria San Gabriel, Jimbo Apostol, Khens Ladaga, James O’Briant, Ronnie De Leon, David Lee Aguirre, Randy Carlos Guevarra and Edgar Ipen Canada.
The event was presented by LA Collection, emceed by Mabuhay TV’s Lourdes Federis and directed by Justin Merluza. Winnipeg talents Glenn Naquila, Ymma Concepcion, Paolo Camus, Raffy Ramiro and Bea Jaime complemented the fabulous night with their beautiful performances.
Dante Aviso is thankful to all who made the event possible and he hopes to organize another one next year.
