Along with BC, Alberta and Quebec, the Winnipeg Jets have been given the green light by Manitoba public health officials to host NHL games in Winnipeg. Due to non-essential travel restrictions between Canada and the United States, all Canadian teams will play in the newly modified North Division. The Jets will play each Canadian team at least 9-10 times throughout the season. Each NHL team will play 56 games and the top four teams in each division will advance to the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Winnipeg Jets started training camp last week at MTS Iceplex. The Jets play host to the visiting Calgary Flames next Wednesday for the season home opener at Bell MTS Place on Wednesday, January 14 at 7:00pm.
