Tina Paner finally broke her silence on the allegation that she sold fake plane tickets to several Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Spain.
Paner, once a popular star circa 1980s, asserted that she was also victimized. She nevertheless promised that she will refund what is due to the OFWs victims.
The former singer-actress who works as a travel agent claimed that she sold the discounted tickets to her fellow Pinoys in good faith. It was only weeks later when she found out that the tickets were fake.
She said she tried to track down the person who sold her the fake tickets. She added that she was forced to spent her own funds as she was unable to track the person down.
She was able to send only 100 clients back to the Philippines as her savings would allow. She said here are still some 20 passengers that are waiting to receive their tickets.
Paner also belied rumors that she is now on the run and hiding from her clients. She said she just became security conscious as she has been receiving death threats from disgruntled clients.
