August 20, 2016 was a great and memorable event for the Filipino Canadian community in Manitoba. It was 1st of its kind and the largest gathering of Pinoy community in Downtown Winnipeg.
Every time I think of it, I’m kind of overcome with emotions towards people, who went out of their way to tell us how much they appreciate our efforts and how much the “Filipino Street Festival” means to them. Everyone was happy and proud. The showcase by various organizations of our beautiful Filipino culture, puts a smile on everybody’s faces. You made us all proud to be Pinoy. It was a very moving experience. Grabe sobra –sobrang dami ng tao.
And to our TFC Kampamilya stars, sponsors, volunteers, Filipino organizations, groups and individuals who came out and proudly took part in showcasing our rich and vibrant Filipino culture here in Manitoba, “Maraming salamat po”
I feel that I have been more than blessed with all your support, for the community event that our team organized .It was a very humbling experience for me and for the Manitoba Filipino Street Festival team. You have all touched our lives. We will always treasure these moments.
Lastly, thank you God for giving us the strength to persevere and to keep on going when sometimes all we want to do is give up. Thank you for blessing us with another fun and successful year.
