SMC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. expressed confidence that his company’s commitment to build 5,000 homes initially in the cities of Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Dumaguete, will give the affected families renewed hope.
SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang added that this is not just providing houses, but more importantly, giving them homes, as SMC is also committing half a billion pesos to provide the victims the means to start all over again though livelihood opportunities.
SMC has already donated an estimated P12 million worth of products and cash for the victims of typhoon Sendong through its San Miguel Foundation and Petron Foundation.
