Sarah Geronimo shows enhanced performance in new album

“The Great Unknown” is Sarah Geronimo’s 12th studio album. The 10-track collection was released on December 4, 2015 by Viva Records.

The 27-year-old singer-actress collaborates with equally talented artists, Yeng Constantino and Hale. The lineup of songs includes Melvin Morallos’ piano-driven “Unbroken,” and Geraldine Lim’s “Baby You’re the Reason.” With Hale, Sarah performs Roll Martinez’s “The Great Unknown,” while Totop Suzara’s “Ako’y Para Lamang sa ’Yo” finds Sarah in reflective longing for the man she thinks she shouldn’t have lost.

The song “Only for You,” stresses the importance of trust in a relationship. Also included are Mark Villar’s “Sabi Mo sa Akin” and “Tala,” composed by Nica del Rosario and Emmanuel Sambayan. Another standout track is “Kaibigan Mo,” by Yeng Constantino.

The album ends with “Misteryo,” from the singing-and-songwriting tandem of Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana, which further showcases Sarah’s range-scaling ability.
