The “Welcome to Our Bagong Dating” which was held on November 15 was another successful occasion.
The gathering is an annual event sponsored by the Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba Inc. or PHCM, which aims to greet and welcome our newly-arrived Kababayans. The event also aims to inform them about community resources that can assist them in settling comfortably to their new life and environment.
The event was attended by almost two hundred newcomers and their families, representatives from different government agencies, NGOs, PHCM Inc. members, friends, families, and supporters who are involve in helping our newly-arrived Kababayans.
