Pacquiao to star in a Hollywood movie

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is no stranger to making movies having appeared in several local films such as “Lisensyadong Kamao,”  “Anak ng Kumander” and “Wapakman.”

Now he is set to invade Hollywood via the action film “Brass Knuckles” which will start shooting next month in Los Angeles, California, USA.

According to film producer Damian Perkins, they aim to wrap up post-production either August or September this year so they could release the movie next year.

Perkins said the film’s plot deals with the use illegal drugs and the underworld populated by mobsters and hooligans. Pacquiao will be playing the role of a gangster.

The New Jersey-born producer also guaranteed that the Filipino boxing superstar got a good role as well as good lines.

Directed by two-time Emmy Award winner Erick Geisler, “Brass Knuckles” also stars Fil-Am comedic actor Rob Schneider, Academy Award winning actor Benecio del Toro and Mexican-born actor Jacob Vargas.
