“Mom, can we live here?” my 8 year old daughter Sabrina asked as I tucked her into bed on our first night at Dive Link Island Resort. I smiled, hugged and gave her a kiss. That remark filled my heart with so much joy. I saw happiness in her eyes. She wanted to stay awake and talk about the many things she did and saw that day.
The beauty of Coron, the friendliness of the staff, the peaceful, quiet but exciting and safe surroundings of Dive Link made it feel like it was our home in paradise. The place is simple. It was just right for my family to appreciate God’s wondrous creations in the Philippines.
We stayed in a Family Garden Cottage that had 2 adjoining rooms with a shared toilet and bath. We had air conditioning, clean fresh water and hot /cold showers. We had our meals in the Coconut Grove Restaurant. It served our favorite seafood dishes: Garlic Crabs and Grilled Prawns!
We were glad there was no TV in the rooms as this made us appreciate our surroundings more and the children go out to have more adventure.
They already have too much TV in the city. The children loved walking along the pier and seeing and feeding the fishes beneath. We were thrilled to go up the challenging Uson summit and see the fantastic view of Coron and come back down to just soak up and have more fun at the swimming pool, while my husband and I just lazily lay around the pool reading! That afternoon, we even taught them how to kayak along the bay in front of the resort.
Dive Link even has a karaoke lounge and a family room with board games. They offer other activities to enrich your Palawan experience. These include snorkeling in marine parks, kayaking and swimming in the Twin Lagoons, Kayangan lake, having a picnic in white beaches of some nearby islands and scuba diving.
We loved it! We will return to Dive Link!
