MP Joy Smith to honour heroes of human trafficking

WINNIPEG, MB: MP Joy Smith will be hosting an award ceremony to honour former trafficking victims and those who selflessly dedicate their time and energy to fighting this heinous crime.

The inaugural event will be held on October 16, Saturday 2010 at Eastview Community Church, 3500 DeVries Avenue, East St. Paul at 7:30 p.m.

The awardees include Brian McConaghy, founding director of the Ratanak Foundation; Natasha Falle, former trafficking victim and founder and executive director of Sextrade 101; Timea Nagy, former trafficking victim and founder and executive director of Walk With Me; Grand Chief Ron Evans, assembly of Manitoba Chiefs; and Tamara Cherry, reporter, Toronto Sun Admission is $29 at the door to cover the costs.
