MMFF “Parade of Stars” on Dec. 22

The traditional “Parade of Stars” of participating entries in the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22 starting at the Mall of Asia and ending at the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park., three days before the official opening of the film festival on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

The eight official mainstream entries are: “10,000 Hours,” starring Robin Padilla and Mylene Dizon; “Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir” with Rocco Nacino and Christian Vasquez; “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy,” starring Vice Ganda and Maricel Soriano; “Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay” starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo; “Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel” starring Eugene Domingo; “My Little Bossings,” starring Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bimby Aquino Yap Jr.; “Boy Golden,” starring Jorge Estregan and KC Concepcion; and “Kaleidoscope World,” starring Sef Cadayona and Yassi Pressman.

Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino enjoined the moviegoers to patronize the film festival because part of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of super-typhoon “Yolanda.”

The awards night of the filmfest will be held on Dec. 27 at the Meralco Theater.
