A well deserved victory for the 26-year old Mary Jean Lastimosa as she was awarded the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe crown during the March 30 coronation night held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Joining the pageant for the third time was the “toughest decision” of her life. A risky move indeed, that proved to be all worth it.
Lastimosa won the best in swimsuit award but many say that it was the Q&A portion that sealed her the crown.
She is still in awe of her victory and is trying not to be pressured by the upcoming training for the international pageant.
It was also a triumphant night for the other titleholders: Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti (Bb. Pilipinas-International), Yvethe Marie Santiago (Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational), Kris Tiffany Janson (Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental), and Parul Shah (Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism).
